Warsaw went green, and we brought the flowers. From 3 to 5 September, Flower Circus was live at Green is Life, Poland's biggest trade fair for plants, horticultural technology and landscape architecture as part of The Blooming Collective. It was a first for us, and it was a hit.
For the 33rd edition of Zieleń to Życie as the expo is called in Polish The Blooming Collective brought together ten growers, breeders and promotional groups in one shared pavilion. From lilies and chrysanthemums to lisianthus, gerberas, sprayroses, roses and orchids: a little piece of Dutch floriculture, right in the middle of Warsaw.
Everything was organised and decorated together with our great flower magicians Tiffany van Lenten and Mark Frank. They not only made sure every flower and plant looked its absolute best they also designed the booths so the Collective really stood out on the show floor. And during those three days, they kept creating commercial designs to inspire the florists, growers and other trade visitors at the expo. Fresh, sellable ideas, made live.

And there was one more highlight we loved: a live demonstration on the big podium with World Champion in Floristics Tomasz Max Kyczyncki. With the flowers from the companies of The Blooming Collective, he created eight fantastic designs in front of a live audience. And his show did not end at the podium — afterwards, the eight designs were showcased at the expo as well, right outside the conference area, where they kept on inspiring visitors for the rest of the fair.
Of course, our own John and Jhon were there as well, together with the product specialists, to tell everyone more about the flowers: care and handling, availability, and what deserves a spot on a Polish florist's shelf.
It was our first time at the expo and it will not be the last. Visitors and organisers genuinely enjoyed seeing cut flowers right next to the plants, a combination the fair rarely offers. Add to that the fact that Poland is a fast and steadily growing market for flowers and plants, and the potential for next year is clear: the Blooming Collective as a great podium to promote flowers and plants, and to meet up with florists and wholesalers from Poland and beyond.

We are not slowing down. Next, Flower Circus heads to Flower Vision Norwich, where we join Ahti Lyra to celebrate the opening of their new wholesale — with a flower demonstration, Flower Circus style!
